About Us Main

Griffith Park Bujinkan is a Los Angeles-based dojo dedicated to traditional Japanese martial arts. Established in 2017, the training group was created to support Franklin Canyon Bujinkan students preparing for advanced Bujinkan training in Japan. In 2020, all classes merged under the Bujinkan Seki Ryu organization.

Because Griffith Park Bujinkan follows the teachings of Dr. Masaaki Hatsumi, our training reflects centuries-old samurai and ninja traditions. In addition, our instructors travel to Japan regularly to ensure high-quality Bujinkan martial arts instruction.

As a result, students at this Los Angeles dojo gain real-world self-defense skills and deep cultural knowledge.

Our
INSTRUCTORS

Griffith Park Bujinkan offers traditional Japanese martial arts training in the heart of Los Angeles. Since its founding in 2017, the group has supported Franklin Canyon Bujinkan members with an additional location to prepare for training in Japan. In 2020, we unified all locations under the Bujinkan Seki Ryu umbrella to strengthen our community and mission.

Originally, Sensei David Greenberg (15th Dan) founded Franklin Canyon Bujinkan in 2012, drawing from his decades of experience training and teaching both in Japan and abroad. Today, Griffith Park Bujinkan proudly continues that legacy by providing authentic Bujinkan martial arts instruction, including unarmed self-defense and classical samurai and ninja weapons training.

Dr. Dante Dionne leads both Griffith Park Bujinkan and Franklin Canyon Bujinkan, with support from Dr. Christopher Lau. Moreover, our dojo thrives thanks to the continued guidance of international and local Bujinkan Shihan, who collectively bring centuries of experience.

Importantly, as part of the Moti Nativ lineage, we continue to benefit from the mentorship of David Greenberg Sensei. Additionally, Eran Conforty Sensei, based in Los Angeles, has supported our growth from the very beginning of the Franklin Canyon dojo.

Through consistent training, historical discipline, and strong community ties, Griffith Park Bujinkan equips students with practical martial arts skills and a deep connection to the global Bujinkan network.
